The event is open from 9am to 5pm and begins right downtown at the Northbank Shelter in Riverfront Park. The basic idea is that you will complete a ‘course’ of geocaches that will introduce you to the history and scenic areas of Spokane, and once you complete it you will earn a Geocoin prize.
Best of all there will be team members on site until 5pm to assist geocachers and teach anyone interested in learning more about geocaching, so this is a great time to get started. All you need is a basic GPS or even a smart phone that is GPS enabled.

If Saturday is too busy you can also go to a free Geocaching 101 class at the Cache Cave in Spokane at 6pm on Friday. This is followed by a meet and greet at 7pm, and all of this is open to the public.
So what are you waiting for? Time to get started!
