Pinnacles National Park

We are excited to be showcasing photos from our most recent trip to the California National Parks!  Here we will share inspiration photos for Pinnacles National Park which quickly moved to the top 3 favorite parks for our kids.  Besides being the most recent park added to the national park system, what does Pinnacles have to offer?  Caves, Pinnacle formations, steps cut out of stone cliff faces, California Condors, little to no crowds and our kids favorite-a swimming pool!  Take a look below and consider a visit to Pinnacles for your next family vacation!
We're here!
beginning of a lovely hike
great rock scrambling!
Typical "formations" for Pinnacles NP
Our 4, outdoors!
cool formations to wander through
Heading out
Leave time for playing on the rocks
little man hiking along
Donning headlamps for some cave exploring
The trail winds and weaves
Not an invasive species but a beautiful wildflower!
If rocks aren't enough, there is always tree climbing
Some Pinnacle formations
Enjoying the shady side of the trail
wildlife near the campsite
not sure why we still bring the baby backpack
not sure about this passageway
This one loves finding a secret spot
always copying big brothers
cliff side trail
overhang on the trail
stairs to the lake
part of one of the caves
how much longer is this trail?
chillin' by the water
looking for water snakes and frogs
manzanita trees
taking a break in the shade
nothing like a pool on a 100+ degree day!
